Wear XR glasses and go about your day. The glasses see and hear what you do when you want them to.
Helpful translations or transcriptions and tips appear on your surroundings in real time.
Voilà personalizes the experience, acting as a quiet guide recommending content based on your interests and level.
Review your day. Voilà compiles new words and feedback for you and your tutor.
Seamlessly bridging your physical world with your learning goals. See how the Android XR and mobile experience come together.

Explore your world and let Voilà turn it into a lesson. Scan objects around you—like everything in a kitchen or things you see on a walk in Paris—and get instant words, phrases, and examples overlaid in XR, so you learn directly from real life, not from a textbook.

For intermediate learners, fast speech is the real barrier. Voilà's live transcription shows you, in real time, what people are saying so you can follow conversations, catch missed words, and connect what you hear to what you already know—without constantly asking people to repeat themselves.

Record real conversations in real scenarios — at the pharmacy, with a contractor, at dinner with friends—and when you're done, Voilà analyzes how you spoke. Get immediate grammar and phrasing feedback, plus targeted suggestions on what to practice next, based on how you actually use the language.

Building the future with
Voila is an XR language learning platform built for Android XR devices and upcoming Google XR Glasses. You put on your glasses, go about your normal day, and Voila overlays translations, explanations, and practice prompts directly onto your real-world surroundings. Behind the scenes, we combine object/visual recognition, speech analysis, and a personalized recommendation engine to turn every interaction into structured language practice.
Most apps keep you on your phone doing decontextualized exercises. Our user research showed people don't lack tools—they lack real-life relevance, structure, and consistency. Voila flips this: we start from real-life scenarios (pharmacy, hardware store, café, municipality appointments, social events) and use XR to support you while you live those situations. The phone becomes optional; your world becomes the interface.
People already use Google Translate for quick answers and ChatGPT for explanations—but those tools don't know your history, goals, or grammar weaknesses. Voila integrates a translation engine and an internal "ChatGPT-for-languages" directly into your learning profile: it tracks every word, topic, and scenario you interact with, and then curates stories, news, grammar practice, and speaking tasks that target your specific gaps. All of that is tied to your CEFR level and real-life usage, not one-off chats.
Voila is being built primarily for Android XR devices and future Google XR Glasses. In the beta phase, we'll support compatible Android XR hardware plus a companion mobile app for reviewing summaries, stories, news, tutor feedback, and pronunciation exercises. Over time, we plan to expand to additional XR devices as the ecosystem matures.
We're focused on Europe first. Voila is designed to support 19 language variants, including English (US/UK), Portuguese (Portugal/Brazil), Spanish (Spain/LatAm), French, German, Italian, Dutch, Russian, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, Finnish, Hungarian, Czech, Greek, Romanian, Turkish, and Polish. The landing page will be in English initially, but the product is built with full internationalization in mind.
Voila is built for +13 learners who need the language for real life, not just for fun: expats, digital nomads, remote workers, international students, and professionals who've moved abroad or work with foreign teams. Our interviews showed their motivation is highly practical—getting through admin tasks, talking to contractors, navigating health care, joining social life—so the product is designed around those real-life outcomes, not abstract "Unit 4: Transportation" content.
Voila is tutor-augmented, not tutor-replacing. The AI handles the heavy lifting: tracking every word you engage with, generating daily stories and scenario drills tailored to your interests and level, and giving instant feedback on sentences and pronunciation. With your permission, tutors then plug into a dashboard that shows what you actually did in real life—conversations, scenarios, recurring errors—so they can run short, targeted sessions around your real day instead of generic textbook lessons. The result: fewer boring classes, more "this exactly happened to me yesterday, let's fix it."
Instead of vague "fluency percentages," Voila measures progress through scenario-based achievements and vocabulary growth. We track how you perform in specific tasks (like handling a pharmacy visit, writing to a landlord, or chatting with colleagues), how your vocabulary in those domains expands, and how your accuracy improves over time. Every interaction—stories, news, sentence practice, XR-recorded conversations—feeds into the recommendation engine so your content gets progressively harder and more tailored as you improve.
Users stay in control. Any audio or conversation recorded via XR is explicitly opt-in and exists to help you learn: to generate feedback, corrections, and tutor-ready summaries. You decide what's stored, what's deleted, and what can be shared with a tutor. Data is encrypted, and the platform is being designed to comply with GDPR and other relevant data protection regulations. For investors and partners, this also means we're building a privacy-first architecture from the start.
The beta will onboard a limited number of learners, tutors, and partners in waves. Beta users get early access to the XR features, daily stories and news, scenario-based practice, sentence and pronunciation activities, and the tutor dashboard. Pricing for the public launch is still being finalized; during beta, we may experiment with discounted or free access in exchange for structured feedback. Tutors can request to join the beta to use Voila with their students and help shape the product, and investors/partners can join to see the tech and usage patterns up close.
In the short term, Voila runs on any ARCore-enabled Android phone, so everything we're building for glasses can already be used through your phone's camera and screen. You'll be able to use scenario practice, daily stories, news reading with learning tools, sentence and pronunciation activities, and even object/visual recognition directly on mobile. Some experiences—like truly hands-free, all-day conversation recording and feedback—are things we ultimately expect you to do with glasses, not by holding up your phone all the time. That's why we're building the infrastructure, AI pipeline, and product experience now, so when Google XR Glasses (and other Android XR devices) are widely available, Voila becomes a seamless upgrade: your account, history, and personalized recommendation engine carry over instantly into the glasses experience.
